City Proclamations

There will be several proclamations read at the October 25 Bedford City Council Meeting.

"Proclamation recognizing the Friends of the Bedford Public Library for their support of the Bedford Public Library."

"Proclamation recognizing William C. Martin Methodist Church for their support of the Bedford Public Library Summer Reading Program."

Library Opens for 40 Hours per Week

As of Oct. 11, with the start of Bedford's 2006 fiscal year, the library will be open 40 hours a week. In April, thanks to the wonderful anonymous donor, the library opened for 21 hours a week. Hours later expanded to 32 and then 37, thanks to the fundraising efforts of the community, including the Friends, several local businesses and the "I'm Backing Bedford" program. Thank you to everyone who has supported our library.
