Starbucks Supports the Library

Starbucks will open their new Bedford store (Airport Freeway in the Shops at Central parking lot) with a Friends & Family Night benefiting the Friends of the Bedford Library effort to raise emergency funding to get the library back to full time this summer. The fundraiser will be 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 23.

Friends Present Over $20,000 to City

On Tuesday, June 14, at the 7pm Bedford City Council meeting at City Hall, the Friends of the Bedford Public Library presented a check for $21,452.06 to the city. This included the funds raised from the book sales, the auction, the HEB school coin drive and individual and corporate donations. The rewards of our labors from the last two months can now be put to work, helping the library extend the number of hours it is open for our children, for our families and for the community.
